In this course we will explore the history of children’s literature from a cultural and academic perspective. We will also explore various ways to use literature to stimulate learning and enhance instruction.

Additionally we’ll look at the impact technology has on how young people have explored stories through reading initiatives, literature groups, poetry clubs, and cyphers.

Ultimately, what we will try to uncover are ways to stimulate curiosity for stories, storytelling, and a love of books for young people and emerging readers.
